La Quita has been employed as an Administrative Assistant of Disciples Crossing since 2002. She was born in Tyler, Texas and has lived with her husband, Gary, in East Texas since 1996. Prior to that they met and married in Houston, Texas. They spent the first five years of their married life in the U.S. Army and both of their children were born while Gary was in the Army. They have a son, Mike and a daughter, Michelle. Mike is married to Louisa and they had La Quita's first grandchild in Dec of 2005. Michelle is living in Arlington, Texas.
